Parish Life
Administrative Auxiliary People serve by assisting with computer skills, book keeping,
secretarial skills, mailings and other office activities.
Adult Fellowship Groups Small groups of parishioners meet in a social
atmosphere for the fellowship of conversation and other social activities.
Coffee Hour People sponsor, serve and tidy after the social
gatherings followign the principal worship service.
ECW
The Episcopal Church Women
includes all women of the parish. Rummage sales, Care Packages to our college students, goodie baskets for shut-ins,
Christmas cookie walk, and missionary support are some of the projects generated at our bimontly Saturday meetings.
Episcoponderings People edit the monthly parish newsletter,
report on activities of parish organizations and special events. Word processing
skills desirable.
Hospitality Various parish social activities,
include but are not limited to: pancake suppers, family nights,
picnics, and ice cream socials.
Newcomers A group of people minister by assisting newcomers
to become familiar with Saint John's and its members.
Prayer Circle A responsive intercessary prayer network accessible at all times for special and individual prayers.
Prayer Ministry Team Present at 10:30 service during Holy Communion
and at other times as requested.
Tellers Parishioners record and bank weekly monetary receipts.
Vestry Elected parish members are the governing body of the Parish
and represent the people between annual meetings. Requirements to serve are: baptized person
at least 16 years of age, active in the parish for six months, and a willingness to serve a 3 year term.
The Senior and Junior Wardens are elected from the vestry, by the vestry.
